The Ocean OCSSD2BW Soda Maker is a compact manual water carbonator designed for preparing fresh sparkling water conveniently at home. Finished in white and requiring no electrical connection, it provides a straightforward way to carbonate water using a compatible CO₂ cylinder. Its slim countertop design makes it suitable for everyday kitchen use without occupying excessive worktop space. Operation is completely manual and uses a simple One-Touch activation system. Once the compatible bottle and CO₂ cylinder are installed, carbonation can be activated with a press, allowing still water to be transformed into sparkling water within seconds. Because the unit does not depend on mains electricity, there are no power cables to position around the appliance and it can be placed wherever convenient on a suitable work surface. A major advantage of the OCSSD2BW is its compatibility with SodaStream® CO₂ cylinders and compatible bottles, as specifically stated in the manufacturer's specifications. This provides convenient access to commonly available carbonation supplies rather than requiring a proprietary electrical system. The CO₂ cylinder itself is not supplied with the unit. The machine uses 1-litre bottles, and retailer documentation for this model specifies that two 1L PET bottles are supplied. This allows one bottle to be prepared while another can be kept ready for later use. The same documentation describes automatic pressure-release functions and a 7-bar safety valve designed to protect against excessive pressure during carbonation. For easier everyday maintenance, the unit incorporates a removable drip tray. At only 264mm wide and 153mm deep, the soda maker maintains a relatively small footprint while its 428mm height accommodates the upright bottle and carbonation mechanism.
